A Visa is REQUIRED for any travel to Thailand.

Gather, complete, and submit the requirements below.

Tourist Visa Requirements

  • Original, signed U. S. Passport with at least 6 months of remaining validity beyond stay in Thailand, with adequate unused visa pages to allow for entry and exit stamps upon arrival and departure from Thailand.  Note* Amendment pages in the back of your passport are NOT to be used for entry and exit stamps or visa issuance.
  • Visa Application Form. Please download, print, complete and sign the Visa application.
  • 2 Recent Passport-type photograph (2″ x 2″) in color, front view with white background.
  • Bank statement. Copy of the applicant’s most recent monthly bank statement. The statement must clearly show the applicant’s name as the account holder, the balances of the accounts, and the date of the statement.
  • Itinerary. Copy of round trip tickets or confirmed itinerary.

 

Business Visa Requirements

  • Original, signed U. S.   • 2 Recent Passport-type photograph (2″ x 2″) in color, front view with white background.
  • Business Letter. A business letter from the sending company in the US. The letter should be printed on the company letterhead stationery, addressed to “The Consulate of Thailand, Visa Section”, and signed by a senior manager, Vice-President or above. The business letter must adhere to the following guidelines:
    • Briefly introduce the applicant and specify employment status/position held in the company by applicant.
    • State the nature of the business to be conducted (ie. business meetings, contract negotiations, etc.) and the names and addresses of companies to be contacted in Thailand.
    • Specify the Type and desired Validity of the visa (ie. a one year multiple entry business visa).
    • Guarantee of sufficient funds for travel.
    • Sample Company Letter of Guarantee
  • Business Invitation. A business invitation letter from the sponsoring company in Thailand. The letter should be printed on company letterhead stationery, addressed to “Consulate General of Thailand, Visa Section”, and signed by a senior manager, Vice-President or above. The business letter must adhere to the following guidelines:
    • Briefly introduce the applicant (please specify employment status/position held in the company by applicant).
    • State the nature of the business to be conducted (ie. business meetings, contract negotiations, etc.) and the names and addresses of companies to be contacted in Thailand.
    • Specify the Type and desired Validity of the visa (ie. a single entry business visa).

Tourist E-Visa Requirements

  • Passport Copy. Please email a clear scan of the photo page and information pages of your valid, signed passport. The passport must also have 2 remaining blank pages upon arrival in Thailand
  • Passport-type Photograph. A digital passport-type photograph taken within the last 6 months. If the photograph does not reflect your current appearance you may be refused to enter Thailand.
  • Proof of Residency. Document that can verify applicant’s current residency. (Driver License or Mayor Utility Bill).
  • Proof of Accommodation in Thailand, e.g. Accommodation bookings, invitation letters from family/friends in Thailand.
  • Itinerary. Copy of round trip tickets or confirmed itinerary.

Business E-Visa Requirements

  • Passport Copy. Please email a clear scan of the photo page and information pages of your valid, signed passport. The passport must also have 2 remaining blank pages upon arrival in Thailand
  • Passport-type Photograph. A digital passport-type photograph taken within the last 6 months. If the photograph does not reflect your current appearance you may be refused to enter Thailand.
  • Business Invitation. Please provide a signed invitation letter from the company in Thailand on inviting company’s letterhead.
  • Proof of Residency. Document that can verify applicant’s current residency. (Driver License or Mayor Utility Bill).
  • Bank Statement. Financial evidence: amount of no less than 30,000 THB (Single), 120,000 THB (Multiple) e.g. Bank statements, Sponsorship Letter should be included as well if necessary.

Work E-Visa Requirements

  • Passport Copy. Please email a clear scan of the photo page and information pages of your valid, signed passport. The passport must also have 2 remaining blank pages upon arrival in Thailand
  • Visa Application Form. Please download, print, complete and sign the Visa application.
  • Passport-type Photograph. A digital passport-type photograph taken within the last 6 months. If the photograph does not reflect your current appearance you may be refused to enter Thailand.
  • Bank Statement. Financial evidence: Amount of no less than 30,000 THB, e.g. Bank Statements, Sponsorship Letter.

  • FOR ‘ NON-IMMIGRANT B’ WP32 Approval Letter.  WP32 (An approval letter from the Ministry of Labour) or work permit in case of Non-Immigrant B renewal (Japanese is waived from the requirement to submit WP32).
  • FOR ‘NON-IMMIGRANT IB’. Letter from Board of Investment (BOI).
  • Itinerary. Copy of round trip tickets or confirmed itinerary.

Transit E-Visa Requirements

  • Passport Copy. Please email a clear scan of the photo page and information pages of your valid, signed passport. The passport must also have 2 remaining blank pages upon arrival in Thailand
