Bolivia

A Visa is REQUIRED for any travel to Bolivia.

Gather, complete, and submit the requirements below.

Tourist Visa Requirements

  • Original, signed U. S. Passport with at least 6 months of remaining validity beyond stay in Bolivia, with adequate unused visa pages to allow for entry and exit stamps upon arrival and departure from Bolivia. Note* Amendment pages in the back of your passport are NOT to be used for entry and exit stamps or visa issuance.
  • Visa Application Form. Please complete online, print and sign the Visa application.
  • 2 Recent Passport-type photograph (2″ x 2″) in color, front view with white background.
  • Bank statement. Copy of the applicant’s most recent monthly bank statement. The statement must clearly show the applicant’s name as the account holder, the balances of the accounts, and the date of the statement.
  • Letter of Invitation. If staying with friends or family, a letter of invitation from the host in Bolivia, can be used instead of the hotel reservation. The letter should be addressed to the Embassy of Bolivia, Visa Section and should state the relationship to the applicant, the dates of the visit, and the address and phone number where you will be staying.
  • Hotel Reservations. Copy of confirmed hotel reservations (Applicant’s name must be on Hotel Reservation).
  • Yellow Fever Vaccination. Copy of International Certificate of Vaccination for Yellow Fever.
  • Itinerary. Copy of round trip tickets or confirmed itinerary.

Business Visa Requirements

  • Original, signed U. S. Student Visa Requirements

  • Original, signed U. S.   • Yellow Fever Vaccination. Copy of International Certificate of Vaccination for Yellow Fever.
  • Itinerary. Copy of round trip tickets or confirmed itinerary.
